Job Title: Junior Odoo Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Odoo Developer with 3 months to 2 years of experience to join our growing technology team. This role is ideal for candidates who have a strong foundation in Odoo customization and module development, along with a basic functional understanding of SCM and HRMS workflows.

You will work closely with senior developers, functional consultants, and business stakeholders to customize standard Odoo modules, develop new modules, and support ongoing ERP implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Customize and extend standard Odoo modules to meet business requirements.
• Develop new Odoo modules following best practices and coding standards.
• Assist in implementing and supporting SCM (Sales, Purchase, Inventory) and HRMS modules with a clear understanding of their workflows.
• Work on backend development using Python and Odoo ORM.
• Create and modify XML views, reports (QWeb), menus, and security rules.
• Perform basic integrations using REST APIs or third-party connectors under guidance.
• Debug issues, fix bugs, and optimize existing code.
• Support data import/export and assist in Odoo version upgrades or migrations.
• Prepare basic technical documentation for developed features.
• Collaborate with QA, functional consultants, and senior developers to deliver quality solutions.
• Follow Git-based version control and participate in code reviews.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 3 months to 2 years of hands-on experience in Odoo development.
• Strong understanding of Odoo framework basics and module structure.
• Experience in:
  • Customizing standard Odoo modules
  • Creating custom modules from scratch
• Proficiency in:
  • Python
  • PostgreSQL (basic queries)
  • XML, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Familiarity with Odoo ORM, views, actions, security, and workflows.
• Basic functional knowledge of:
  • SCM modules (Sales, Purchase, Inventory)
  • HRMS modules (Employees, Attendance, Leaves, Payroll basic understanding)
• Understanding of Linux environment and Git version control.
• Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Odoo v13 or above.
• Basic knowledge of multi-company or multi-currency concepts.
• Familiarity with Odoo.sh, Docker, or on-premise deployments (good to have).
• Basic understanding of API integrations.
• Knowledge of frontend frameworks like Odoo OWL JS is an added advantage.
